Einleitung

Der Landkreis Komotau war ein deutscher Landkreis in Böhmen auf dem Gebiet der heutigen Tschechischen Republik. Er existierte während der Besetzung durch das Deutsche Reich in der Zeit zwischen 1938 und 1945. Er entsprach in etwa dem Okres Chomutov.

Sitz der Kreisverwaltung war die Stadt Komotau.

Geschichte

Vor dem Münchner Abkommen vom 29. September 1938 gehörte der Politische Bezirk Komotau (tschechisch Okres Chomutov) zur Tschechoslowakei.
